Our team takes pride in safety, precision, and delivering projects on schedule. We’re currently looking for a skilled Finish Grade Operator to join our growing team.
Position SummaryThe Finish Grade Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment—such as motor graders, dozers, and skid steers
—to achieve fine grade tolerances for roads, pads, and other site work. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and strong coordination with the grading and site crews to meet project specifications and production goals.
Operate motor grader, dozer, or other equipment to achieve required final grades.
Fine-grade subgrade, base, and finish surfaces for paving, curb, or building pads.
Read and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and plans.
Set up and use GPS or laser grading systems where applicable.
Monitor grade for accuracy and make corrections as necessary.
Maintain and inspect equipment daily for safe, efficient operation.
Coordinate with site foremen, grade checkers, and truck drivers to ensure smooth operations.
Follow all company, OSHA, and FDOT safety regulations.
Assist other operators and laborers as needed to maintain production goals.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating heavy equipment for grading and earthwork.
Proven ability to achieve finish tolerances within project specifications.
Experience with GPS and/or laser grading systems preferred.
Knowledge of FDOT specifications, site grading, and base preparation.
Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
FDOT or municipal project experience.
GPS system experience (Trimble, Topcon, or similar).
OSHA 10 Certification.
