Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Logistics Coordinator to work in a truly global environment, supporting our Supply Chain team lead to oversee and improve our end-to-end supply chain process for customers handled by Swiss trading desk. This role provides excellent long-term development potential for an individual eager to demonstrate their skills and experience within the fast‑paced soft commodities sector.

This role will be working from our Volcafe office based in Winterthur, Switzerland.
Key Accountabilities- Execute timely and accurate logistics processes for assigned coffee client portfolio, including shipment coordination and documentation.
- Coordinate with external partners (ocean freight, warehousing and transportation) to ensure smooth operations and validate service invoices.
- Maintain contract execution systems and update shipment status in line with standardized processes.
- Handle documentation for imports, exports, and related activities; upload documents to customer portals and internal platforms, ensuring follow‑ups as needed.
- Support sales‑related activities such as bank collections, spot deliveries, and assist in resolving incidents (e.g., rejections, quality claims and insurance cases).
- Assist in ensuring compliance with internal policies and customer requirements; provide support during certification audits (e.g. organic and fair trade).
- Collaborate with traders, finance and global service teams to resolve operational issues and contribute to process improvements.
- Prepare and share data reports as required by internal stakeholders.
- Considerable hands‑on international logistics management and/or commercial trade execution experience, preferably within the commodity trading sector.
- Basic understanding of ocean freight processes, warehousing services, and international trade documentation, with a willingness to learn and grow expertise.
- Comfortable working in a global, cross‑functional environment and able to manage tasks independently or with guidance when needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools advantageous.
- Proactive and collaborative, with good communication skills to work effectively across teams and departments.
- Takes responsibility for assigned tasks and follows through to completion with attention to detail.
- Organized and detail‑oriented, able to handle multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy in day‑to‑day activities.
