Hong Kong) Technical Superintendent

WinGD is looking for a Technical Superintendent to join our team.

Accountabilities
  • On‑site technical support and implementation (maintenance, troubleshooting etc.)
  • Remote customer support
  • Support in acquiring service contract and spare parts sales by identifying customer needs, promoting relevant solutions, and capturing business opportunities during field interactions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers during field service projects. Cooperate to meet customer demands.
  • Maintain detail records of field activity including technical report and maintenance logs and compliance documentation. Provide regular updates on service progress and issue.
  • Compliance with company policy (QHES etc.) and superior guidance.
Main Responsibilities
  • Advise and consult on‑site commissioning tasks and troubleshooting activities
    • Advise, instruct, and train, if needed, marine engineers (own or partners) for given tasks.
    • Identify and resolve the issues using diagnostic tools and technical expertise.
    • Maintain accurate records of field activities, including service and working reports, maintenance logs and observation for further reference and compliance. Ensure an economic use of resources.
  • Support Service & Spare Parts Business Development
    • Proactively identify and assess customer needs for service contracts, maintenance agreements, and spare parts during site visits and remote support.
    • Provide technical justification and recommendations to customers to support service contract renewals, upgrades, and spare parts procurement decisions.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders by sharing customer insights, forwarding qualified leads, and assisting in quotation and proposal preparation as needed.
    • Contribute to achieving service and spare parts sales targets through effective on‑site influence and customer relationship management.
  • Ensure effectiveness project controlling
    • Ensuring the correct recording of hours, project controlling (expenditure and income) and forwarding of data for invoicing.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety and Regulations
    • Adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements during all field activities, implementing best practices to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with company standards.
    • Work effectively with other engineers and other parties. Share the insights and ensure comprehensive solutions to complex technical issues.
