We are looking for a team leader immediately or by arrangement, who is characterised by helpfulness and loyalty and feels responsible - not only to their team but also to internal and external stakeholders. The services of the System Engineering team support the company's objectives and its products. With commitment, determination, and the ambition to maintain high system uptime, you will achieve and even exceed the goals.
Responsibilities
- Leading the System Engineering team: resource planning, employee discussions and qualifications, involvement in recruitment and planning the onboarding of new employees
- Planning, standardisation, setup, operation and maintenance of the internal and external server infrastructure based on Debian Linux (Proxmox, Docker, Puppet, Ansible)
- Telemetry, provision of data aggregation and analysis, monitoring and alerting
- Continuous optimisation of processes and delivered services
- Participation in product development
- Supporting other teams in process automation
- Interdisciplinary project management and project participation
- On-call duty in rotation
- Supervision of the creation and maintenance of documentation
- Training of IT apprentices
- Ensuring and optimising internal IT and its support
You enjoy working independently and solution-oriented. As a member of a team with common goals, reliability and good collaboration are a matter of course for you. You are also characterised by a high awareness of quality and a pragmatically oriented approach.
Further requirements
- Completed training and several years of professional experience as a System Engineer
- Several years of leadership experience in a comparable position
- Very good knowledge of the Debian Linux environment, strong affinity for open source
- German and English: very good oral and written skills
- Other foreign languages welcome
- Driving licence category B
