Then you fit perfectly within our team and can strengthen our business as Senior System Engineer 100% (w/m/d) =================================== The Senior System Engineer plays a key role in providing secure, stable, and scalable IT infrastructure services according to Rieter's global business needs.

This position is mainly responsible for the global server and storage hardware infrastructure operated in on premise data centers and covers the areas of architecture, design, implementation, operation, monitoring, standardization, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement. The position owner is jointly responsible for core IT infrastructure services operated internally and works closely with global IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure reliable and future oriented infrastructure services.

• Design, build, operate, and continuously improve the global IT infrastructure services with a focus on server, storage, SAN, virtualization, and Active Directory technologies.
• Manage physical and virtual server platforms, storage systems, SAN infrastructure, and related data center IT hardware components.
• Plan and execute hardware lifecycle activities, including technology refreshes, firmware and driver updates, capacity planning, end of life replacements, and coordination with external vendors.
• Provide second  and third level support for server, storage, SAN, virtualization, Windows Server, and Active Directory services.
• Analyze business and IT requirements and develop secure, scalable, and cost effective infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure compliance with configuration, security, operational, and documentation standards.
• Automate recurring operational tasks using scripting and tooling, especially Power Shell.
• Collaborate with global IT teams, local IT organizations, and external partners to ensure reliable infrastructure services.

• Bachelor's degree, HF degree, or equivalent education in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least seven to ten years of professional experience in IT system engineering or operations.
• Strong experience with enterprise server infrastructure, including physical servers, virtualization platforms, and related management tools.
