The Department of School and Sports supports schools, school authorities, and the Sports Office of the city of Winterthur in fulfilling their diverse tasks.

In this role, you will complement our team of four, contribute to the independent management of payroll administration for 2500 employees, and ensure a smooth and timely processing together with the entire team. The position can start immediately or by agreement.

Your diverse area of responsibility includes, in particular:

• Subject matter expert for cross-departmental topics related to payroll processes, systems, legal requirements, and internal guidelines
• Professional coordination of payroll administration to ensure correct payroll processing
• Operational involvement in day-to-day business as well as responsibility for monthly payroll processing including controls and closures
• Preparation of certificates, evaluations, and reports
• Participation in the continuous optimization and digitalization of processes as well as in projects

Several years of experience in payroll and personnel administration in a larger company or in administration Solid expertise in payroll (e.g., Payroll Specialist) Proficient in Excel/MS Office and SAP-HR as well as digital affinity Enjoy optimizing existing processes and developing pragmatic solutions for efficiency enhancement Team player with a structured and analytical working style as well as a high level of service and customer orientation
