Group Fitness Instructor

Instruct high-quality exercise classes to students and West Center members.

• Instruct appropriate exercise classes as scheduled.
• Ensure class site and equipment are properly prepared.
• Prioritize the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
• Promptly enforce all policies and adhere to risk management procedures.
• Record participation counts.
• Attend staff meetings as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Recreational Services and the West Center.

• Must have taken and passed or currently enrolled in the Exercise Leadership & Instruction class through the Physical Education, Sport, and Human Performance department.
• OR have certification from an accredited exercise organization such as ACE, AAFA, NASM, and ACSM.

• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• High energy and the ability to motivate others.
• Patience and the ability to explain instructions clearly and effectively.

Pay Rate 10.00/hr
