Lecturer or Apprenticeship Trainer Assessor (onsite) in Brickwork/Groundwork
Location: Wisbech (on‑site assessments)
Job Type: Permanent / Full Time
Hours: 15 to 37 hours per week
We are looking to recruit experienced brickwork and groundwork practitioners to join our team at The College of West Anglia. This role combines teaching, assessment and practical support for apprentices and learners across a range of construction modules.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare and deliver practical and theoretical lessons in brickwork, groundwork and related construction subjects to learners from entry level to level 3.
- Assess learner progress through assignments, exams and practical work, providing feedback to support successful outcomes.
- Work closely with apprentices, employers and colleagues to ensure apprentices thrive, including assessments, reviews and site visits.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of curriculum, assessment material and practical facilities.
- Maintain and uphold professional standards, safeguarding and health and safety procedures as required.
- Level 3 brick/groundwork qualification (essential) and relevant site experience.
- Assessing qualification (or the ability to gain one).
- Teaching experience at Level 3 or equivalent (preferred).
- Good communication and organisational skills, with an ability to work collaboratively with staff and external partners.
- Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding references (required).
- Competitive salary determined by experience and qualifications (up to Level 5 teaching qualification may result in higher salary).
