Overview

Leader Group is delighted to be working in partnership with a respected Therapeutic Education Service provider to recruit an Experienced KS2 SEND Teacher for an exciting specialist SEND school in Wisbech.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Support pupils with SEND and trauma backgrounds to make academic, social, and emotional progress
  • Use assessment effectively to track progress and adapt teaching strategies
  • Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour in line with school policies
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist staff
  • Build strong, professional relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies
  • Contribute to professional development, reflective practice, and school improvement
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and follow procedures rigorously
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Respond sensitively to pupils emotional and behavioural needs
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
  • Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour
  • Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and professional standards
  • Resilience, empathy, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
  • Experience in special education and/or trauma-informed teaching
  • Knowledge of SEND, social-emotional learning, and therapeutic approaches
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
