About the School

We are working with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Wisbech that supports children and young people who require a more tailored and therapeutic approach to education.

The school provides a structured, nurturing environment where pupils are supported to re-engage with learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships. Class sizes are small, with a strong focus on consistency, routine, and individual progress.

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and resilient English Instructor to deliver engaging English lessons to pupils with SEMH needs.

Qualified teachers are welcome to apply, but strong instructors or tutors with relevant experience in alternative provision or SEND settings are also encouraged.

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to support individual development
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SEN professionals, and families
About You

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour (desirable)
  • Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient
  • Confident managing behaviour using positive and restorative approaches
  • Flexible, reflective, and committed to making a difference
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Why Join This School?
  • Supportive leadership and collaborative staff team
  • Small class sizes and high staff-to-pupil ratios
  • Opportunity to make a genuine impact on pupils  lives
  • Ongoing training and professional development in SEMH and trauma-informed practice
How to Apply
