Are you a passionate and knowledgeable English specialist ready to help shape a new school’s academic identity? We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of English to join a growing team at a new and ambitious secondary setting. ⭐ About the Role

As a Teacher of English, you will:

Deliver high-quality English lessons that develop strong foundational skills in reading, writing, vocabulary, and literary understanding.
Teach a rigorous, knowledge-rich curriculum designed to build powerful disciplinary knowledge.
Contribute to a Year 7 transition programme that integrates literacy development with elements of PSHE and Citizenship.
Provide adaptive teaching and effective scaffolding to ensure every pupil—including those with SEND—can access a challenging curriculum.
Work closely with the SEND team to ensure classroom practice supports diverse needs.
Use assessment intelligently to check understanding, address misconceptions, and secure strong progress.
Contribute to the shaping of the English department during its foundational phase.
Support enrichment opportunities such as debating clubs, competitions, reading groups, and theatre visits.
Collaborate with colleagues, modelling professionalism and a commitment to continuous improvement.
