Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and strategically minded Head of History to establish and lead the History department in a growing secondary school setting. This senior teaching position involves shaping curriculum, fostering a culture of academic excellence, and mentoring staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead development of a knowledge‑rich History curriculum.
- Inspire and manage teaching teams as the department grows.
- Ensure high‑quality teaching and learning across all year groups.
- Plan assessments, track student progress and adjust strategies.
- Build links with the wider school community and stakeholders.
- Strong subject knowledge and teaching experience in History.
- Leadership experience or potential in curriculum direction.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
- Commitment to high academic standards and inclusive education.
