Recruiting Finalist to Post-Qualified Accountants, across South Lincolnshire, along the A1 corridor, down to St Neots and Biggleswade
We are working with an ambitious and growing SME to recruit a part-qualified Management Accountant into a key role within their finance team.
This opportunity has been designed for someone who is eager to develop their technical skills, commercial understanding, and stakeholder exposure while working closely with an experienced Finance Director.
This role offers genuine career progression, giving you the chance to take ownership of core management accounting responsibilities and expand your involvement in strategic decision‑making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts with supporting analysis and commentary
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, developing insight through variance analysis
- Building a strong understanding of costs, margins, pricing, and stock, supporting commercial decision‑making
- Assisting with year‑end accounts, audits, VAT returns, and HMRC reporting
- Managing and improving day‑to‑day finance processes to ensure accuracy and control
- Working alongside the Finance Director on financial reporting and business insights
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and financial controls
About You
This role is ideal for someone who wants to step into a broader management accounting position and increase their exposure to senior stakeholders. On the contrary, it would also suit someone who is experienced and values doing a good job.
You will ideally have:
- AAT qualification, be actively studying (CIMA/ACCA), or be qualified by experience
- Experience in a management accounting or finance role, with a desire to take on more responsibility
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
- A curious mindset and willingness to learn and improve
- Manufacturing experience (beneficial but not essential)
The Salary for the role is up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience and is office based five days a week.
