The role starts at 20 hours a week which would equate to 4 hours a day Monday to Friday and the expected service times are 17:00 to 21:00.

Deliver excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer. Ensure the contract service delivery is of a high standard, meeting all SLA agreements whilst adhering to the cleaning schedules.

The position is within the Brooke Weston Trust Campus within The Wisbech Academy temporary Portakabins. Mitie require cleaning operatives to provide full cleaning services after the end users have vacated the space to provide clean and safe teaching and learning spaces for the staff and students the following day. This role is 42 weeks a year where the distribution is term time and three weeks of holiday time to provide deep cleaning ready for new terms.

Main

Duties
  • Undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role.
  • Work within a team and under their own initiative.
  • Adhere to all Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the site to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the Contract and relevant SLAs, carrying out all daily weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the line leaders.
  • Ensure that the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
  • Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order.
  • Report any maintenance requirements identified during cleaning tasks.
  • Always maintain security – locking doors, following lost property procedures etc.
  • Have a full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
  • Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used by Mitie.
  • Set a good example in terms of dress, behaviour, punctuality, and attendance.
  • Ensure all Safeguarding Policies are always adhered to and raise any concerns in line with the Mitie policy.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ensure contractors and external visitors comply with security and health and safety while on school premises.
  • Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
  • To undertake any other related duties which are within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business.
