Who are we looking for?We are seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer in the Wymbech area to work at several client premises for holiday and sickness cover, with the possibility of a fixed shift pattern when opportunities arise. You will work varied hours and must be flexible to work days, nights, and travel between sites in the region including Long Sutton and Wisbech.

- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- Valid SIA Front-Line License – essential.
- Full UK Manual Driving License – essential.
- Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel).
- Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards.
- Maintain overall site surveillance, carrying out regular patrols and recording these as per Corps and client requirements.
- Ensure all visitors and contractors are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
- Record delivery entry and exit while on site, including processing paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
- Ensure patrols are carried out to the correct standards.
- Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out-of-hours coverage if applicable.
- Comply with site waste management procedures.
- Complete required documents, including daily occurrence logs, shift handovers, incident/accident records and any site‑specific reports.
- Stay familiar with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
- Maintain training records via the Corps Colleague Portal to keep skills up to date, particularly first aid and fire marshal training in accordance with legislative guidelines.
- Continuously apply SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism; always display your SIA licence.
- Perform ad‑hoc duties as directed.
