Could you be the person who helps someone take their next step towards a more independent future? As a Community Support Worker at Amplius, you’ll work alongside customers experiencing homelessness, helping them build confidence, develop life skills and move towards a stable, independent life.

With a variety of different contract types available, you can find a role that works for you - whether you’re looking for full-time hours, part-time work or something more flexible.

Contracts available:

Permanent, full-time

6-month fixed term contract, full time

Permanent, part-time (18.5 hours per week)

Relief / reserve

Salary:

£28,040.46 per year (pro rata for part-time)

£13.45 per hour for relief role

Hours:

Full-time roles are 37 hours per week Monday to Sunday, between 8am and 10pm on a rolling rota.

Hours for part-time and relief roles will vary depending on the contract.

Location:

Wisbech HRS, Cambridgeshire.

The relief roles may be based at either Wisbech or at schemes in Peterborough.

Snapshot of your role

* Provide person-centred, housing-related support to help customers build confidence and independence.

* Work as a key worker, developing and reviewing support plans and risk assessments with customers.

* Help customers manage their tenancy, including rent, utilities, repairs and maintaining their home.

* Build positive relationships and encourage wellbeing, social inclusion and community involvement.

* Work with partner agencies to coordinate effective support and help customers achieve their goals.

* Keep accurate records, reports and support plans, monitoring progress and outcomes.

* Promote safeguarding, health and safety and equality, while managing risks appropriately.

What we’re looking for

* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above, alongside good IT skills.

* Experience providing person-centred support in housing, homelessness or a similar setting.

* An understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing and the challenges faced by people with different support needs.

* Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to build positive, non-judgemental relationships.

* Good organisation and administration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Important – Enhanced DBS clearance, full UK drivers’ licence, access to your own vehicle, and right to work in the UK are essential requirements. We do not provide sponsorship.
