JDR Recruitment is recruiting for a Hygiene Operative with a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence to join a busy cold storage warehouse in Wisbech.
This is a varied role where you'll primarily be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene throughout the warehouse. When required, you'll also support the warehouse operation by operating a forklift to load and unload vehicles.

The Role
Your main responsibilities will include:
Removing ice build-up throughout the warehouse

Sweeping floors and maintaining a clean, safe working environment

Emptying and replacing bin bags

Carrying out general hygiene and housekeeping duties

Operating a forklift truck to load and unload goods when required

Supporting the warehouse team during busy periods

Working safely within a cold storage/freezer environment

Following all health and safety procedures and site hygiene standards

Pay Rates
£12.92 per hour whilst carrying out hygiene duties

£14.84 per hour when operating the forklift

If you spend more than four hours operating the forklift during a shift, you'll be paid  £14.84 per hour for your entire shift

What We're Looking For
A valid Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift Truck licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent)

Previous warehouse or industrial experience

Comfortable working in a cold storage/freezer environment

A reliable, hardworking and flexible approach

Willingness to carry out both hygiene and forklift duties as required

Good awareness of health and safety procedures
