About The Role

As a Sanitation Technician
, you’ll be essential in maintaining a clean, food-safe, and well-functioning facility environment. You’ll work under the supervision of the Sanitation Lead worker and Supervisor to clean production equipment and infrastructure using Ecolab chemical agents, high-pressure systems, and modern cleaning tools. Your efforts help ensure McCain’s food safety and quality standards are met and exceeded daily.

Statement of Job

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our sanitation team. As a Sanitation Technician
, you’ll maintain a spotless and food-safe production environment, performing deep cleaning tasks during production and scheduled shutdowns. This physically active role is essential to upholding McCain’s high standards for cleanliness, safety, and food quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of equipment, ceilings, pipes, walls, tanks, and production areas
• Operate power washers for extended periods (up to 65% of a 12-hour shift)
• Safely handle and work with industrial-strength cleaning chemicals
• Climb ladders and operate aerial lifts for high-elevation cleaning tasks
• Accurately complete sanitation documentation and cleaning reports
• Maintain readiness to work during scheduled factory shutdowns (night shift availability required)
• Follow and promote safe work practices and McCain sanitation procedures
• Work in hot, humid, cold, and confined conditions as needed
• Participate in quality process checks and continuous improvement activities
• Demonstrate flexibility by performing other duties as assigned by supervisors

Special Requirements

• Strong manual dexterity and physical strength for heavy-duty cleaning tasks
