Overview
Location: (Remote) Residing in the U.S. with ability to travel to Dallas for quarterly meetings.
Summary: The Accounting Manager is responsible for the overall financial management of assigned clients.
Required Professional Qualities- Exceptional organization skills – able to manage multiple priorities with a calm and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently – understand what needs to be done and complete the task expeditiously.
- Well-developed communication skills – able to communicate clearly and effectively through multiple modes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the administrative details supporting team effectiveness.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or closely related field.
- In-depth knowledge of Quickbooks Online.
- Identification of month end close processes needed for new clients.
- Creation of COA for specific client needs and direct changes needed with staff accountant.
- Identification of required filings for client (including federal, state and local income, sales tax, and other requirements).
- Lead filings for payroll and sales tax as specified by the client.
- Restoration of prior period financials, as necessary working with manager and staff.
- Review monthly reconciliations to create financial statements and share with clients.
- Process payroll and coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual filings with clients.
- Support accounts payable functions with clients ensuring 1099 compliance.
- Lead the process for clients and staff in identifying process improvements for greater financial transparency (examples, chart of accounts, multi-year/month reconciliation, new legal entity set-up).
- Be forward focused in recommendations to clients seeking their best interest.
- Sales tax administration as needed.
- Provide feedback to staff accountants.
- Timely, well thought out responses to client questions (We have a mandatory 24 hour response time).
- Attend weekly team meetings and check communications daily.
- Track progress towards task in Click Up and meet agreed upon deadlines.
Physical Requirements
The work environment is typical of a clinical office setting. The employee must be able to:
- Sustain prolonged periods standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must have the ability to see up close with or without vision correction.
- Must possess the ability to communicate and comprehend information.
- Must possess the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
