We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day payable operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Chilton, Wisconsin. This role is well suited to someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling high-volume invoice activity with accuracy. The ideal candidate will help keep financial records current, ensure timely payment processing, and contribute to smooth coordination between accounting and vendors.

Responsibilities include:

• Review incoming invoices, verify supporting details, and assign the correct coding before entry into the accounting system.
• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and maintain organized records for audit and reconciliation purposes.
• Prepare and complete scheduled check runs while helping ensure payments are issued within established timelines.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies, follow up on missing information, and work with internal contacts or vendors to resolve issues promptly.
• Match invoices to purchase orders or related documentation when applicable to confirm completeness and approval status.
• Maintain up-to-date payable files and assist with routine reporting related to outstanding invoices and payment activity.
