Cost Accountant

Job Summary:

The Cost Accountant is a critical member of Broan-NuTone's Accounting & Finance team, supporting our manufacturing operations through accurate cost accounting, inventory valuation, financial analysis, and operational reporting. This role partners closely with plant leadership, operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure the integrity of product costs, inventory balances, and manufacturing performance metrics.

Reporting to the US Controller, the Cost Accountant is responsible for maintaining standard costs, analyzing manufacturing variances, supporting inventory controls, participating in month-end close activities, and providing actionable financial insights that drive operational efficiency and profitability. This position plays an essential role in identifying cost-saving opportunities, improving financial processes, and supporting strategic decision-making across manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities:

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Analysis Maintain and analyze standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.

Perform monthly analysis of manufacturing variances, including labor, material usage, purchase price, production efficiency, and overhead absorption variances.

Partner with operations leadership to understand manufacturing performance and identify cost reduction opportunities.

Support annual cost roll processes and ongoing product cost updates.
