Police Department Office Manager
The Village of McFarland has an immediate opening for the Police Department Office Manager position. The Office Manager will be responsible for administrative support work for the Department. This position manages and oversees all office support functions of the Police Department, handles confidential materials, and conducts various administrative assignments in support of the Police Chief and Command staff within the Department.
Minimum RequirementsThe qualified candidate will possess the following education and experience:
- Graduation from High School, or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years prior work experience in an administrative field.
- Ability to keyboard 60 words per minute with accuracy and to transcribe from dictation equipment.
- Associates degree in office management, administration, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
- Any combination of education and experience which in the sole discretion of the Village would demonstrate the ability to meet the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the position may also be considered.
Candidate must possess or be able to obtain a valid Wisconsin drivers’ license, and must not have been convicted of any felony or qualified misdemeanor that would prohibit the applicant from passing a background check to have access to theTIMEorNLETSrecords system.
Compensation and Benefits- This is a non-exempt, hourly position with a starting annual pay range of $53,886 to $68,285 (depending on qualifications and experience).
