LEAD BUYER MRO AND SERVICES
to join the team at our headquarters in Braine-l’Alleud.
As the Lead buyer MRO and Services, you are responsible for technical-commercial purchasing activities in the heavy Industry (goods for maintenance, repair and operations, services maintenance projects) for Heidelberg Materials (Belgium and the Netherlands) and for its 3 business lines, considering economical, logistic, legal and ethical aspects and according to the internal guidelines.
Key is to strategically source, negotiate, and manage suppliers to ensure cost-effective and sustainable supply chain operations that align with the company’s broader business objectives.
Additionally, you are responsible for managing a small team of buyers.
Your tasks & responsibilities:- Strategy development:
You develop and implement procurement strategies at BeNE level, that align with company goals and objectives. - Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Monitor the market trends and conduct supplier evaluations, to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Manage supplier related risks and set up mitigation.
- Develop and execute the change management strategy (Sustainability, e-auction, ...)
You manage and develop a small team of buyers by setting the direction and leading by example.
Ownership- You lead the categories MRO and Services at BeNe level.
- You build synergies, by being a strategic partner for the 3 business lines in Heidelberg Materials.
- You manage all reports related to the category and the strategies.
- You own a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
- You have a proven experience in an MRO & Services procurement role, with 3 years in a leadership position.
- You are a strong communicator, fluent in French, Dutch and English.
- You have strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Result oriented, you also have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- You have knowledge of procurement software and tools.
