Gallatin River Childcare is currently seeking candidates for an Assistant Childcare Teacher. We have opportunities for both full-time year-round and part-time positions across our two locations in Gallatin Gateway, Montana and Big Sky, Montana.

Purpose: To provide direct care in a safe and enriching environment to children under the guidance and oversight of the Lead Teacher.

Compensation: Assistant Teacher positions range from $20 to $23 per hour. Roles at our Big Sky location include a $3 per hour shift differential.

Major Responsibilities:

• Model and teach developmentally appropriate behavior and interactions between children and adults.
• Provide daily care to meet the needs of every child.
• Follow day-to-day classroom schedules, routines, and activities.
• Support Lead Teachers in day-to-day activities and tasks.
• Help children to reach developmental milestones through the Waldorf style of education.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy space.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as needed.
• Communicate with families' daily updates as necessary.
• Preparing and serving meals to children (including baby foods & making bottles)
• Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all children
