Location: St. Albans, VT •
Reports to: Store Manager
CDL Maple USA engineers, manufactures, distributes, and services maple sugaring equipment across North America. We’re looking for a front desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face and first point of contact for our St. Albans store.

You’ll keep things running smoothly at the front desk—phones, emails, orders, and daily deposits.
You’ll collaborate with multiple teams and learn the ins and outs of a dynamic retail/service environment.
What makes this role unique- You’re the hub: calls, counter sales, invoicing, and customer pick-up coordination all flow through you.
You’ll touch both customer service and light administrative/operations tasks (cash reconciliation, mail, filing, inventory checks).
Your attention to detail directly supports accurate orders, clean displays, and an organized showroom.
Welcome customers, answer questions, and help them navigate the store.
Answer and route incoming calls to the right person or department.
Process customer invoices and credit notes at the counter quickly and accurately.
Balance cash sales, reconcile the register, process credit card transactions, and prepare daily deposits.
Organize and file documents; handle incoming/outgoing mail and correspondence.
Take customer orders by phone and coordinate picking and shipping.
Monitor shared inboxes and send daily attendance reports.
Stock shelves, perform inventory checks, and manage office supplies and deliveries.
Maintain a clean, organized showroom (including weekly floor cleaning and dusting).
Reorganize high-traffic product bins to improve accessibility.
Call customers when orders are ready for pickup.
Provide support to other departments and assist with special projects as directed by the Store Manager.
What you bring (Profile)Self-motivated with strong work ethic and initiative.
Experience in customer service and public interaction.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook; solid basic computer skills.
Excellent customer service under pressure; professional and calm.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Hourly, Full-Time (Non-Exempt) — typically 35+ hours/week

Day shift with overtime opportunities during maple sugaring season.
