Located in the heart of Viroqua, WI, Vernon Health is a Critical Access Hospital with a network of Rural Health Clinics and specialty services that support our vibrant community.

Position Overview: As a Cardiologist at Vernon Health, you will provide expert oversight and support for the cardiovascular service line for our rural health organization. You ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in our modern medical office building clinic setting and surgical suites, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and expanding our non-invasive cardiology program with a primary focus on meeting the healthcare needs of the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of patients with heart disease, hypertension, arrhythmias, and other cardiovascular conditions.
• Interpret non-invasive diagnostic tests , including electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac monitors , and utilize other diagnostic tools to determine the best course of care.
• Consult on inpatient care.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, nursing services, and well-established diagnostic and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation departments.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with Vernon Health standards.

Qualifications:

• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited Cardiology residency program.
• Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology.
• Valid Wisconsin medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
