LOCATIONS: Lakeshore College – Cleveland, Wisconsin

Position Summary

Provide high‑quality instruction, emphasizing alignment with local workforce needs in Mechanical Design and Engineering. Proficiently teach mechanical drafting using industry‑standard software like AutoCAD, Solid Works, and CREO, covering additive manufacturing, prototyping, reverse engineering, and mechanical design theory. Offer hands‑on experiences in constructing and revising engineering drawings and integrate cutting‑edge practices.

Provide exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction.

Essential Job Functions (Other Duties May Be Assigned)
  • Responsible for placing learning first and providing educational experiences for learners in various delivery formats, schedules, and locations, facilitating learning of diverse students, assessing student performance, developing and maintaining current/relevant course materials, and communicating with the community, other schools, the college, the division, and team members.
  • Developing curriculum, including learning activities and assessments.
  • Work with curriculum coach to ensure state and Lakeshore design requirements are met.
  • Teaching/training in business and industry may be assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required;
    Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Two years (4,000) hours of relevant occupational experience, with one year (2,000 hours) of recent experience within the past five years.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
Certifications, Licensure, Registration
  • None
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Lakeshore's mission, vision, and strategic direction.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.
Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Works, and CREO.
  • Experience with additive manufacturing/3D printing beneficial.
