Job SummaryWe are looking for a Metrology Engineer to join our Build & Test team. In this role, you will combine analytical expertise with hands‑on technical work, contributing directly to the precision and reliability of our manufacturing processes. Your work will take place at your desk (analyzing data, developing methods, defining strategies) and in the lab and production area, where you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to test and refine measurement systems that support high‑quality, innovative products.
You will be responsible for defining, developing and evaluating measurement methods and systems for new and existing products, while driving strategies that enhance production, maintenance and quality performance across our operations. Through your expertise, you will help ensure that every product we deliver meets the highest standards of accuracy and excellence, ultimately contributing to better healthcare outcomes.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and optimize measurement processes for new and existing products, selecting appropriate methods and equipment
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure measurement systems are effectively integrated into product and process designs
- Establish and maintain measurement strategies to support production, quality control and continuous improvement
- Ensure measurement reliability and consistency through calibration, capability studies and uncertainty analysis
- Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Conduct root cause analyses to resolve deviations and maintain compliance with specification and standards
- Explore and evaluate emerging metrology technologies to enhance measurement capabilities and support innovation
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineering, production and quality teams on all metrology‑related topics
- Offer feedback on manufacturability and measurability during product and component design stages
- Prepare documentation, procedures and training materials in alignment with internal and external (e.g. ISO) standards
You are a technically skilled and analytical engineer with a strong drive for precision, innovation, and continuous improvement. You combine deep technical knowledge with a practical mindset, enabling you to translate complex challenges into reliable, efficient solutions.
You bring:
- A Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Physics) or equivalent experience
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and production processes, with a strong appreciation for how precision drives performance
- Expertise in metrology and automation technologies, including machine vision, sensors, dimensional measurement, force measurement and optics
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), calibration, Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and quality standards
- Experience in using data analysis and statistical tools (e.g. Minitab, JMP) to interpret results and identify improvement opportunities
