Transportation​/Highway Design Engineer

Lina T. Ramey and Associates, Inc. (LTRA) is a Texas-based engineering firm specializing in transportation, utility, CEI, and surveying services. We are committed to delivering solutions that support infrastructure improvements across the state. We are seeking experienced Transportation/Highway Design Engineers to join our team.

We have an opening for Transportation/Highway Design Engineer with 8 to 15 years of experience in highway, roadway, and drainage design. This role will support transportation projects for TxDOT, counties, and municipalities.

• Develop roadway and highway design plans, including drainage components.
• Prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for transportation projects.
• Utilize software such as Micro Station, Open Roads, and GEOPAK.
• Coordinate with TxDOT, counties, municipalities, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality and timely design solutions.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and project stakeholders.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an accredited program.
• 8 to 15 years of experience in highway/roadway and drainage design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas.
• Proficiency in Micro Station, Open Roads, and GEOPAK.
• Experience preparing transportation PS&E documents.
• Familiarity with TxDOT and local agency design standards and processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
