Taymer International Incorporated is a rapidly growing innovator of computer vision inspection systems for the Medical Devices and Wire & Cable industries. We currently require an enthusiastic Computer Vision Developer to join our team of engineers and technicians in the Vision Department. You will be responsible for the design and development of Taymer’s new and existing computer vision inspection systems.

Position SummaryTaymer is well positioned to grow significantly in the next few years. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow with us in these new product arenas. The successful applicant will be comfortable in a fast paced environment where innovation is a key to success. Tasks will range from R&D of new concepts, all the way through the design and manufacturing process to commissioning machines at the customer site.
Location- Texas, USA
- BS in Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems or Computer Engineering
- 2 or more years of experience in C++ development
- Experience in the computer vision industry
- Familiarity with automation and manufacturing environments is an asset
- Strong fundamentals in C/C++ development
- Understanding of electric circuits and mechanical assembly
- Familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Software Suite
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to work with minimal supervision. Initiative to discover and learn
- Experience with any of OpenCV, Qt, MFC libraries are considered a plus
- Experience in Visual Studio C++ development for Windows environment is a plus
- Experience in PCB schematic capture and layout is a plus
- C++ development in Visual Studio for the Windows environment
- Sophisticated image processing and computer vision algorithm development using OpenCV libraries
- Front-end customizations for specific customer requests
- Dive into current R&D problems and challenges including but not limited to OCR, pattern recognition, machine learning
- PCB schematic capture, layout and component selection
- Electrical and software integration with various sensors and components in automation including but not limited to cameras, PLC’s, encoders etc
- Technical communications with external parties including customers and
suppliers - Commissioning of vision systems in at different customer sites
