The Automation team is responsible for the planning, designing, programming, testing, start up, and commissioning of automation systems throughout our manufacturing facilities.



Job Description



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Develop and design electro-mechanical automation systems
  • Create and maintain schematics and drawings for automation systems
  • Assist in developing robotics and automation roadmap for manufacturing facilities
  • Responsible for overseeing scope, cost, and schedule of automation projects ' including system designs, bills of materials and specifications
  • Select component vendors for designed systems
  • Research and stay current with best available technologies related to automation
  • Programming of HMI's, PLC's, robots, and vision systems
  • Testing and debugging of systems prior to placing in production
  • Provide technical support as required to ensure automation systems are operating and optimized, including troubleshooting and operator training
  • Assist plant personnel in development and implementation of efficiency projects
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in factory automation, designing and implementing industrial automation systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong computer skills. 3D / CAD experience - preferably Solid Works
  • Experience developing electrical and mechanical schematics and BOMS
  • Able to translate automation conceptual designs into functional systems
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • CREATIVE and willing to experiment
  • Positive, 'can do' attitude.
The Following Experience Is a Plus But Not Required

  • B.S. or associates degree in mechanical or electrical engineering/technology or related field
  • Experience Fanuc and Universal robots and vision systems

This is a full time position in the competitive and challenging metal manufacturing field. The pay range/rate of pay for this position may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
