Your Role:

We are looking for a motivated Air Quality Engineer/Project Manager to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in client/project management and regulatory compliance to support our growing air permitting team
. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead projects and drive client growth while delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Management:

    • Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

  • Client and Regulatory Engagement:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams
      .

    • Maintain awareness of existing, new, and proposed regulations and apply them to projects.

  • Emission Estimation and Reporting:

    • Prepare accurate emission estimates using approved state and federal methodologies based on site‑specific data.

  • Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure quality control for both personal tasks and managed projects, adhering to industry standards
      .

  • Regulatory Compliance Review:

    • Conduct federal and state air quality regulatory reviews and contribute to compliance strategy development
      .

  • Pollution Control Evaluation:

    • Assess air pollution control technologies for technical and economic feasibility and recommend appropriate equipment.

  • Permit Development:

    • Draft comprehensive air quality permits for Title V, PSD (Prevention of Significant Deterioration), and New Source Review
      .

  • Procedure Adherence:

    • Perform tasks in compliance with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
      .

  • Professional Development:

    • Engage in continuous learning to maintain a high level of expertise in the field.

  • Health and Safety Compliance:

    • Work safely at all times and report any health or safety concerns
      .

  • Additional Duties:

    • Carry out any additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • At least 4+ years of relevant experience in air permitting and project management
      .

  • Regulatory Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of federal and state air quality regulations and permitting processes
      .

  • Leadership and Mentorship

    Skills:

    • Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff effectively.

  • Communication and Negotiation:

    • Excellent skills in communication and negotiation
      .

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
      .

    • Familiarity with spreadsheets and relational databases for tracking operating and emissions data
      .

  • Adaptability:

    • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Pre-Employment Requirements:

    • Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening as per state regulations.

    • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and no restrictions.
