Job Description & How to Apply Below

Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS)

mma is seeking a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to help lead and grow our DFW survey practice, with a strong emphasis on land development. This role is ideal for a surveyor who thinks like an owner—someone who wants to build, influence, and lead, not just execute tasks.

DFW is one of the fastest-growing regions in the country, and mma is positioned right in the middle of it. We’re looking for a professional who sees opportunity in growth, enjoys mentoring others, and wants a meaningful leadership role in shaping how surveying is delivered within a multidisciplinary firm.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead land development surveying projects across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex
  • Act as Surveyor of Record for boundary, ALTA, platting, and right-of-way surveys
  • Manage survey schedules, budgets, and quality control
  • Collaborate closely with civil engineering, planning, and development teams
  • Mentor and develop survey staff and field crews
  • Help define survey standards, workflows, and technology adoption
  • Support client relationships, proposals, and business development efforts
  • Play a key role in growing mma’s survey presence in DFW

What We’re Looking For

  • Active Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license
  • Proven experience in land development surveying
  • Project management and team leadership experience (or a strong desire to grow into it)
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Entrepreneurial attitude—comfortable making decisions and taking ownership

Why This Role Is Different

  • You’re not inheriting a rigid system — you’ll help build and refine how the survey department operates
  • Real leadership opportunity — influence staffing, technology, processes, and long-term direction
  • DFW growth market — consistent land development work with meaningful scale and complexity
  • Integrated team — work side-by-side with civil engineers who value survey as a strategic partner
  • Culture matters — mma prioritizes trust, flexibility, accountability, and professional respect

Why mma

At mma, we believe strong culture and strong leadership drive great projects. We encourage initiative, support professional growth, and trust our leaders to do what’s right for clients and teams alike.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Leadership visibility and long-term growth opportunities
  • People-first culture with a collaborative mindset
  • Diverse land development projects throughout North Texas
