Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy; use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues and ensuring a positive experience.
• Demonstrate customer service best practices, including greeting, eye contact, courtesy, proactive help, needs identification, and service until satisfied.
• Provide courteous, fast, and efficient service; recommend items for sale; register purchases; handle voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records; check in and price merchandise as directed.
• Utilize pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify medicine, and check for possible interactions; report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require direct pharmacist attention, including calls to physicians.
• Process and correct manual claims for third‑party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner; assist with inventory management activities (ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceuticals).
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise; perform resets and revisions as directed.
• Assist with separation of food items, product placement, and stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out methods.
• Assist with photo area services and web pick‑up responsibilities (monitoring orders, picking items, delivering to customers).
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers; complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state‑required certification/registration.
• Attend training and complete required PPLs; acquire continuing education credits; maintain knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy updates.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
