Senior Accounting Manager – Financial Reporting & Operations

  • 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including mandatory experience overseeing staff and financial processes is required for this position

You will be a trusted leader, focused on keeping the accounting operations running smoothly while the executive team focuses on strategic analysis. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing and efficient work activities
  • Lead key financial processes including Month End Close, bank reconciliations, managing the chart of accounts, and ensuring timely debt payments
  • Supervise and manage Accounting Personnel, coordinating their work, recruiting, training, providing timely feedback, and conducting personnel reviews
  • Maintain control and compliance by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures, ensuring a documented system of internal controls
  • Support Budgeting and Reporting by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, calculating variances, and preparing necessary reports for management

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience) is required
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a major company or division
  • Required experience managing processes and overseeing staff in an accounting function
  • Strong knowledge of Audit, Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Tracking Budget Expenses
  • Experience with Developing Budgets and Analyzing Information
  • Working knowledge of maintaining a system of internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
