The City of Luling is accepting resumes for the position of Police Patrol Officer

Position Overview:
The Police Patrol Officer will be responsible for protecting life and property, enforcing laws and ordinances, preventing crime, and maintaining public safety within the community. This position requires a high level of professionalism, integrity, and dedication to serving the citizens of Luling, Texas.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Patrolling assigned areas by vehicle or on foot to maintain order and ensure public safety.
- Responding to calls for service, including emergencies, accidents, disturbances, and other incidents.
- Enforcing local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, and regulations.
- Conducting preliminary investigations, writing detailed reports, and preparing cases for court.
- Assisting the public, providing information, and building positive community relationships.
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in criminal justice or related field preferred.
- Must hold a valid Texas Peace Officer License (TCOLE certification)
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check, physical exam, and drug screening.
