The Town of Calumet is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to serve as Town Treasurer

About the Role

As Town Treasurer, you’ll work closely with the Town Clerk and Town Board to ensure financial accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. Beyond day‑to‑day operations, this role allows you to contribute to the long‑term success and sustainability of the Town of Calumet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and oversee financial records, including general ledger and double‑entry bookkeeping.
  • Prepare and present financial reports for the Town Board.
  • Collaborate with the Town Clerk to ensure smooth administrative operations.
  • Support compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills:

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, general ledger software, and digital communication tools.
  • Attributes:
    Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
