HOUSE MANAGER
MISSION:
Chileda's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with cognitive and behavior challenges. Chileda's goal is to help students increase their appropriate social behaviors and develop independent living skills, through an enriched learning environment and individualized behavior programming. Chileda's population includes children and young adults with special needs including Autism, Attachment Challenges, related developmental delays, and intensive behavioral needs.
Chileda's La Crosse Treatment and Learning Center consists of four homes where students live and learn to become more independent in all facets of life. House Managers are responsible for the daily operations of their assigned house, including supervising and mentoring staff while ensuring meaningful programming for students. House Managers work collaboratively with the treatment teams to facilitate implementation of all communication, behavioral, and life skills training.
House Managers evaluate staff performance and all operations within the home.
- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in human services or at least three years of supervisory experience working with people with developmental disabilities in a licensed setting.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must demonstrate behavior modification skills and decision‑making judgment conducive to role modeling appropriate skills for students.
- Must possess intermediate computer skills to learn and operate software programs.
- Ability to lead a diverse group of employees, give feedback and guidance, and make decisions.
- Ability to take on responsibilities and assist in problem‑solving for staff and students supervised.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of and ability to train and implement Positive Behavior Support plans and Treatment Plan goals.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of and ability to train and implement PECS, visual strategies, social stories, positive behavior supports, trauma‑informed care, and all other intervention strategies used to support student outcomes.
Generally, 1 PM - 9 PM, Monday through Friday, with a weekend rotation of at least one weekend every four weeks.

JOB DUTIES- Promote and demonstrate learning, collaboration, safety, respect, and compassion at all times.
- Provide positive and corrective feedback regularly to ensure that Assistant House Managers, Lead Direct Support Professionals, and Direct Support Professionals are completing their assigned duties.
- Ensure all staff working with students implement the Positive Behavior Support Plans as written.
- Ensure compliance with Chileda Policy and Procedures, RCC regulations, and COA Standards within the assigned house and agency‑wide.
- Collaborate with Shift Managers and other House Managers to plan appropriate staff coverage for all residential shifts.
- Ensure staff‑to‑student assignments are posted at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the designated shift and that all staff are trained on assigned students.
- Personally review or assign a designee to review student binders or assign a designee to ensure required documentation is completed accurately and thoroughly by staff before the end of their shifts.
