Lab Assistant - Casual – Amery Hospital & Clinic

As a lab assistant at Amery Hospital & Clinic, you are responsible for collecting various sample types (with phlebotomy as the primary mode of collection), processing patient orders for testing, following laboratory procedures for specimen handling and providing collection instructions to patients for urinalysis, stool, and other sample types. At the core of what you do, laboratory assistants must exhibit a high level of trust in their abilities to put the patient at ease and provide a safe, warm and pleasant experience for our patients.

Casual position – shifts and hours will vary depending on department need.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of detailed work experience with proven organizational skills and high level of computer knowledge.
• Phlebotomy experience needed.

• Experience in EPIC computer system.
