• Acts as an advocate for Resident Rights to ensure quality of life (Person First principles).
• Helps with preparation and serving of food in the dining area as needed.
• Assist residents to and from activities. Is responsible for reminding co-workers and CNA's of those residents who wish to participate in activities.
• Plan, assist with and/or leads group activities as assigned.
• Assist with planning of monthly/seasonal decorating and activities for the residents and families.
• Coordination of daily/weekly/monthly activities for residents.
• Wash and dry residents' personal laundry as needed.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant and current in WI registry preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in long term care.
• Current BCLS required within first month of employment.

• Attends annual Education Day and completes Continuing Education hours documented.
• Interacts with residents, their families, visitors, supervisors and co-works in a polite, professional manner and demonstrates teamwork.
• Maintains all regulatory requirements.
• Ensures confidentiality of patients/residents and employees at all times.
• Wears identification while on duty; uses computerized time system correctly.
• Attends any committee/ meetings as required.
• Actively participates in the department's performance improvement activities, as requested.
• Complies with all organizational policies.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Teamwork and collaboration.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Use of basic cleaning equipment to include: mop, broom, vacuum, carpet cleaning equipment, etc.

Occasionally

• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like.
• Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Operating machinery.

Constantly

• Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly as required.
• Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to continuously be on feet for 6-8 hours.
