RN OB Department - Per Diem or Resource Pool position

Registered Nurse on the Obstetrics Unit

Per Diem position, will work fill-in hours as needed for the unit, 12 hour scheduled shifts with shift times of 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

• Will be responsible for assessing the spiritual, emotional and physiological needs of the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery patients, and planning the nursing care to meet these needs.
• The OB Registered Nurse is responsible to ensure that the plan of care is carried out through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel.
• Continued interest in professional growth through continuing education, in‑services, participation in professional organizations, and involvement in health promotional activities.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must be licensed and hold a current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin or be in the process of becoming licensed.
• Prior acute‑care nursing experience and prior experience in labor & delivery, postpartum care preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• NRP/BLS & ACLS certifications required or willingness to obtain.
• The ideal candidate will be willing to cross‑train to other nursing departments to assist as needed.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior EPIC knowledge is beneficial.
