Your day to day as a Behavior Technician

Join us as a Behavior Technician and help us elevate the quality of life for children with cognitive and behavioral challenges. Our innovative Shine Community Services program focuses on a collaborative approach to provide in‑home and community support to children and their families. In this exciting role, you'll work directly with kids, teaching essential life skills, daily activities, social interactions, and communication strategies.

As you implement individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSP), you'll play a crucial part in addressing problem behaviors and fostering skill acquisition tailored to each child's unique needs. If you're passionate about making a difference and eager to work in a dynamic environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Hours are flexible and vary throughout the week, Monday through Friday, late afternoons to early evenings (3:30 PM - 7:00 PM), working an average of 12 hours per week.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Possess excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license, insured vehicle, and the ability to independently get to multiple sites throughout your assigned county.
