EMT or Paramedic - PRN

Overview

Medcor is looking to hire an EMT or Paramedic on a PRN basis (as-needed) to be an Onsite Health Technician at our construction site clinic in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin. The hours for this position are shifts available Mondays-Fridays, 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm, or 11:00pm-7:00am and Saturdays-Sundays 6:00am-6:00pm, 6:00pm-6:00am. Applicants should feel comfortable working in a construction environment, should be able to climb stairs, and work at heights as needed.

The role involves collaboration with Medcor leadership, local medical providers, and client staff. This is an as-needed role with no guaranteed hours, and applicants should have the availability to pick up occasional shifts.

• Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
• Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
• Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (MCPs)
• Build and maintain internal team relationships
• Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
• Pre-employment and post-offer screenings
• Document care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
• Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
• Case management
• Medical charting
• OSHA record-keeping

• YOU MUST
• Have valid licensure for the position
• Have current CPR/BLS
• Be strong enough to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
• Possess excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Have a positive and outgoing personality
• Be willing to go above and beyond
• Be passionate about people and giving them the best care
• Be able to have fun

• It’s a Plus If
• You are comfortable working in a construction environment
• You are good with computers and have familiarity with EMR software
• You have experience in emergency medicine or critical care
