Speech Language Pathologist

Overview

The Pines Post Acute and Memory Care invites you to join our team and start making a difference! The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing rehabilitative therapy to patients upon referral for communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders, following all regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Responsibilities include recovery, improvement in function, and when possible, a return to a prior level of functioning.

Clinical documentation will describe objective measures and justification for continued or discontinued services.

Pay: $40.00–$50.00/hr based on experience. This position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services.

• Effectively screen/evaluate patients with communication, cognitive or swallowing disorders and develop appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness.

• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of early intervention practices and building caseloads.
• Experience working in long‑term care.
• Knowledge of PCC is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
