Medication Technician; Med Tech

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our team at Rivers Edge Nursing & Rehab in Antioch, Illinois. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing exceptional care.

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed by physicians, using aseptic techniques and following established protocols
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Conduct routine checks on residents to ensure their physical and emotional well-being
• Report any changes or concerns to nursing staff and physicians
• Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration and resident care

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medication Technician certification (CMT) or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting or related field preferred
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents as needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
