Night Auditor

Overview

Night Auditor role at MCR Hotels (Residence Inn by Marriott Temple). The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work and for front desk operations during the overnight shift (typically 11pm–7am).

• Audit Management:
  Complete and send all hotel audit-related reports by the designated time on the overnight checklist.
• Security:
  Follow overnight security measures to ensure a safe environment, including locking exterior entrances at designated times and handling safety and security issues per procedures.
• Incoming Mail:
  Receive and note all incoming mail as required by the daily shift checklist.
• Guest Relations:
  Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay; use guests’ names whenever possible to enhance welcome.
• Guest Satisfaction:
  Work with the team to contribute to high guest satisfaction scores.
• Recovery:
  Address challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency.
• Hotel Knowledge:
  Maintain strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities.
• Events:
  Be aware of and support all groups and events at the hotel.
• Technology:
  Understand relevant technology for the role.
• Phone Etiquette:
  Answer incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting.
• Cleanliness and Organization:
  Ensure spotless cleanliness and well-organized front and back of the house; pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
• Shift Handover:
  Provide accurate and on-time handover reports for effective shift-to-shift communication.
• Uniform & Appearance:
  Wear a clean, approved uniform, be well-groomed, wear a nametag, and maintain a friendly demeanor.

• Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise, or related field preferred.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to work well under pace and pressure.
• Strong listening and conflict resolution skills; effective communication.
• Hospitality and guest service orientation.
• Age 18 or older.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Timely clock-in/clock-out and adherence to break schedules.
• Provide adequate notice when calling out as directed by supervision.

• Stand or remain stationary for extended periods; perform data entry and computer tasks.
• Lift and transport supplies up to 25 pounds; move around the hotel and guest rooms.
• Visual acuity for detail at various ranges.
• Moderate noise level with regular communication among staff.
