Front Desk Agent (1st Shift) – Mt. Olympus Resort & Theme Park
Mt. Olympus Resort in Wisconsin Dells is hiring a Front Desk Agent! This role provides superior customer service beyond guest expectations. Front‑desk employees are the first point of contact for guests and play a vital role in ensuring a memorable stay.
Schedule: 1st Shift, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm or 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Weekends and holidays required; schedule may vary based on hotel occupancy and departmental needs.
- Reports to the Guest Services Supervisor and/or Guest Services/Resort Manager.
- Assure friendly, courteous and accurate check‑in and check‑out of room guests.
- Answer the PBX professionally, courteously, and respond to questions with accurate and current information, directing all incoming calls swiftly and correctly.
- Maintain competent knowledge of the property, local attractions, and current activities.
- Promote friendly, courteous, superior customer service.
- Take room reservations and cancellations in a highly efficient and friendly manner while capturing all pertinent information.
- Handle cash, credit, and sales transactions.
- Keep the front desk area and own station neat, tidy, and clean.
- Monitor guest safety and service issues to provide a safe and customer‑oriented environment.
- Listen to guests and anticipate needs or concerns before a problem arises.
- Understand safety and security procedures.
- Monitor room availability, maintenance, and housekeeping issues and communicate those to housekeeping in a timely and efficient manner.
- High School Diploma/G.E.D Equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must always bring a smile to work.
- Must maintain a professional appearance at all times – proper issued clean uniform and name badge.
- Professional attitude required at all times, handle pressure with poise and finesse.
- Must be honest and dedicated.
- Must maintain confidentiality and be trustworthy.
- Exceptional oral and written communication.
- Excellent time management skills and punctuality.
- Team player and able to provide superior customer service.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
