Overview

Assistant Vice President - Service Line Sales Specialist, Lending s is a leadership role focused on driving sales, business development, and growth of Cognizant’s IOA lending business. You will win new deals and grow the existing book of business with assigned targets, working with senior client executives and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Focus on market strategy development – drive the market strategy for the assigned industry segment, including profitable revenue growth, competitive differentiation, industry partnerships, and practice investments.
  • Drive pipeline and sales origination for focus segments across emerging and traditional industry companies with operational scale needs.
  • Identify, prospect, and close sales to grow the IOA business within the lending industry.
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior client executives and partner for mutual success.
  • Help the lending team uncover cross-sell and upsell opportunities with existing clients and close them to enable revenue recognition by Cognizant.
  • Drive best-in-class client propositions, partnering with solutions, delivery, process excellence, and automation teams.
  • Maintain or improve Cognizant’s lending leadership recognition with the Analyst community through active networking.
  • Contribute ideas and thought leadership on new ways of working for the lending services industry and how Cognizant can adopt them to achieve higher-than-budgeted goals.
  • Possess knowledge of AI adoption in lending and how it can enable a better future for Cognizant in client partnerships.
  • Demonstrate the Cognizant Way to Lead:

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in a client-facing role or account leadership role in professional services or management consulting firms.
  • 15+ years of experience driving sales within the lending industry across banks and non-banking lenders in the Americas.
  • Maintained at least a $75M book of business in the most recent role.
  • Experience leading diverse teams and collaborating in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong experience with the global service delivery model.
  • Strong analytical and consultative selling approach.
  • Knowledge of how matrix structures work across global markets.
  • Understanding of technology solutions and their impact on business and operations.
  • Located in the Eastern or Central Time Zone (preferred) or Mountain or Pacific Time Zone; ability to travel 40–60%.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

These Will Help You Succeed
  • Relationships at senior levels within relevant industry segments.
  • Experience with Global Business Services (GBS) or client-facing GBS/captive setups selling experience.
  • Existing strong relationships with third-party advisors, industry analysts, and potential C-level buyers.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization.
Work Model

Hybrid work arrangement. The role requires 3 days per week in a Cognizant office or with clients in the Eastern or Central Time Zone (preferred) or Mountain or Pacific Time Zone (secondary). Cognizant supports work-life balance through wellbeing programs.

Salary, Incentives, and Benefits

Applications will be accepted until December 1, 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $171,051 and $250,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, subject to applicable plans.
