Overview

Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and wireless access points.
- Troubleshoot customers network and computer issues.
- Perform regular network maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and hardware upgrades.
- Troubleshoot network-related problems reported by users and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement network solutions to improve the company’s and clients infrastructure.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support for network emergencies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in network administration and security.
- Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience (2+ years) working as a network technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching concepts.
- Familiarity with network security practices and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware and software, including Cisco, Unifi, or similar equipment.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving network issues.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
