UX Designer

Remote and HQ in Edinburgh when required

We’re looking for a UX Designer who thrives on solving complex problems and making digital experiences feel effortless. You care about clarity, usability, and reducing friction — not just shipping pretty screens.

This role sits at the heart of how users engage with Caledonia. You’ll shape flows, build systems, and help turn financial services into something people actually enjoy using.

• Design end-to-end user experiences across web and mobile products
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to shape feature direction and UX priorities
• Translate product requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and detailed visual designs
• Run user research, usability testing, and iterate based on real feedback
• Develop and maintain UX patterns and documentation to ensure consistency
• Help define and evolve the design language and component library
• Present design decisions clearly and advocate for user needs in every conversation

• 3 or more years of experience in UX, interaction design, or product design
• A strong portfolio that shows how you solve real-world problems through design
• Proven experience designing digital products, not just landing pages or marketing sites
• Excellent understanding of design tools like Figma, along with prototyping and handoff workflows
• Comfortable working alongside engineers and product managers in agile teams
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain design thinking clearly
• A mindset of constant learning, with a sharp eye for detail and improvement

We are not yet a licensed EMI or bank. That is part of what we are building, together.

This role reports to the Head of Product and works closely with engineers, fellow designers, and Caledonia’s co-founders. You’ll be part of the core team shaping our user experience from day one.
